Agnes St. Amand

Ceramicist | Artist of Form, Memory, and Material Storytelling
Agnes St. Amand is a Lafayette-based sculptor and ceramic artist whose practice explores the quiet intelligence of materials and the emotional resonance of form. Trained in both fine arts and design, she works primarily in clay, creating sculptural pieces that reflect her fascination with structure, repetition, and the subtle narratives embedded in everyday objects.
Her work is shaped by a deep engagement with process—hand-building, carving, and refining surfaces until they evoke both delicacy and strength. St. Amand’s sculptures often draw from architectural motifs, natural patterns, and the cultural textures of South Louisiana, resulting in pieces that feel simultaneously grounded and ethereal.
With exhibitions across the region and a growing body of public and private commissions, St. Amand has become known for her ability to translate material into metaphor. Her collaboration with GOT GOT Studios reflects her belief that art can hold space for contemplation, connection, and collective responsibility. Through her work, she invites viewers to consider how form, history, and human experience intertwine—and how beauty can become a vessel for justice.
